HERA Consortium Completes First User Needs Survey to Shape Community Portal

The HERA Consortium has completed its first User Requirements Questionnaire, gathering vital insights to guide the design of the HERA Community Portal. Conducted during the “Need Finding Workshop” on July 23–24, 2025, the survey involved 22 participants, both external and internal, from across Europe, including Greece, Belgium, Portugal, Germany, Sweden, Ireland, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands.

Respondents with high levels of education and digital skills shared preferences for video-based learning, supported by text guides and live sessions. While many reported no major issues, some highlighted challenges with navigation, language, and account setup, stressing the need for a user-friendly and multilingual platform.

The survey also revealed a diverse community of employees, mentors, educators, and training providers, all motivated by personal growth, leadership development, and social impact.

These findings will directly inform the platform’s design, ensuring it is accessible, engaging, and tailored to user needs, ultimately fostering professional development and knowledge sharing across Europe.
